Puerto Rico with The Monzingo’s

Old San Juan, Puerto Rico is one of our favorite vacation spots. The Monzingo’s and us both went to Puerto Rico about 5 1/2 years ago (at different times) and fell in love with the island. So when we were planning a trip for Danny’s 30th birthday the boys decided that we head back to Old San Juan. We even stayed in the same hotel that we both stayed in when we were there last time and it was just as good as it was 5 yrs ago. We decided to just go with the flow and not plan anything out for the trip and it was a great idea.

We started the vacation off with enjoying a dinner at the restaurant were the Pina Colada was created, and it was great.
Then we thought we would ask one of the local police officer where his favorite place was to eat and he decided to just escort us to the restaurant. However, we decided not to eat there because it was 30 dollars a plate and you could not share!!!

Julie and I about to head out on a busy day of sight seeing.

Here we are at the one of the forts in Old San Juan

For Danny’s 30th birthday dinner we started our night with a tour around Old San Juan and the next two pictures are from the tour…

We ended the night with a great dinner at Aquaviva – so delicious!!

Danny and I at the waterfall – the water was way to cold to get in!

Julie and I exhausted after our 1.5 mile hike to and from the beautiful waterfall in the rain forest.
