Summer Vacation – Day 3

Friday morning we woke up in a Anaheim right across the street from Disney Land.  Thankfully the girls got a lot of sleep Thursday night because we were on a mission to see and do everything we could at Disney in ONE day!

Once we got inside the gates of course we had to stop and take the family selfie (the first of many family selfies from the day) in front of the Disney sign.

We went to Disney World 3 years ago so I expected that Disney Land would look very similar however their Sleep Beauty castle is just a little smaller than Cinderella’s castle.

Off to our first ride of the day… I HATE roller costers but I had to suck it up and ride all the rides. I am glad I did because we all had a blast!

After Splash Moutain we went back to the hotel to freshen up and relax before dinner and fireworks. Once we got back to the park Kate was so excited because Minnie Mouse was in the front taking pictures.

Then it was time to put her driving skills to the test.  She did a great job.

We found our parade spot about 1.5 hours before it started.  Needless to say we had a lot of time to kill!!  Danny was able to take the girls on a ride and then came back with YUMMY Dole Whips for everyone!!!  Our Disney trip was now complete!

  1. So fun! I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was a teenager, but I remember it feeling like a more cozy Disney World. Ha! I love Dole Whips. Yum! After we went to Disney World last summer I found a Pinterest recipe for it, but haven’t tried it yet.

  2. One day when the grandkids are older I hope to experience this magical place as you have portrayed here. How fun it looks and how happy it makes families feel. Appreciate you sharing your magical vacation this morning at Party at My Place. Enjoy the rest!

  3. How super fun! I’m not a big Disney person and I doubt we ever go to either Disney venue but I think we will do a Disney Cruise sometime! I do love these pictures how fun!

  4. What a fun family trip!! I still remember my family trip to Disneyland when I was a 2nd grader and it was one of my fondest childhood memories! I am sure your girls will treasure those memories!
