Thankful…

This time of year always makes me think about what I am thankful for. First, and foremost, I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus Christ.  I am so glad that we live in a country where we are free to worship Jesus and we are not persecuted for this decision.

I am also thankful that I have a wonderful husband that loves me just the way I am, makes me laugh, puts a smile on my face, and is a wonderful dad.  He works so hard to provide a great life for the girls and I (and we don’t thank him enough for that!).  Even though he may be busy with work or traveling, he always finds time to coach the girl’s sports teams and be there for their school functions.

I am also so thankful for these two precious girls. We definitely have our good and bad days, but they keep us constantly on our toes and are such a joy to have around. I am so thankful that they love each other (most days) and they are very protective of each other.  I hope that one day I will have the same relationship with them that God has given me with my mom – which I am also thankful for. A mother/daughter bond is one of the most special bonds any girl can ask for.

Finally I am thankful for my friends.  I have a few girlfriends that I can always count on.  Life is always so hectic, but these girls are always there when I need a friend.

If you don’t do it often, take a minute and really think about the things you can be thankful for.
What are you thankful for today?

Great post! I love that Thanksgiving is right in the middle of the busiest time of year…back to school and Christmas. It really gives us a chance to slow down & remember what we are thankful for. Thanks for sharing your heart!
