Putting a Spin on New Year’s Resolution -Spiel the Beans Link-Up

Every year I always try to come up with new resolutions and then try to stick to them.  This past year I decided to focus on four areas of my life – work, church, health, and personal.

2016 New Year’s Resolutions…

Work – stop doing other people’s job and focus on my job

Church – become more involved with the women’s ministry at church

Health – workout at least 3 x a week

Personal – don’t get involved in drama, be a better mom and a better wife

Looking back I think I did a great job this past year with the above resolutions.  However, when looking forward to 2017, instead of resolutions, I’m going to resolve NOT to do a few things…

  1. I resolve not to worry unnecessarily about what other people think about me.
  2. I resolve not to daydream about what I want to do in life, but instead to do what I dream about
  3. I resolve not to just think about living a healthy life, but actually making it a priority for myself and my family.

  1. I love all of these! I’m seriously just at the point I want to quit thinking about all the things I want to do, could do, should do and just live every day doing those things or building towards those things. I’m so glad I found your blog in 2016!! Thanks for linking with us! Happy New Year.

  2. These are great! I’m connecting with you one number one – resolving to not worry about what people think of me. I feel like I get judged right and left for the stupidest of things and maybe just maybe I’m not being judged and it is all in my noggin! You’re gorgeous – 2017 will be your’s! xo

  3. What a great list! Jessica, I can relate with you on all of these! Especially the one about worrying what other’s think about me. That is huge for me. I need to add this to my list. This is big for me. I also loved your resolution about you and your family eating healthier, this is a big goal of mine for the next year. I loved your post today (as always)!
