Last weekend was jammed pack with a lot of fun activities.  We kicked our weekend off with the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance.  The girls had so much fun this year.  Danny sent me a few pictures while they were dancing the night away.

Saturday morning we were up at the crack of dawn.  Kate had a volleyball game at 8:00 am and 9:00 am.  She had two great games.  She found out at practice the next week that she didn’t have any missed serves and several of her serves resulted in a point for her team. Way to go Kate!

After her game we headed to our favorite local restaurant for brunch and then it was time for some basketball.  Abigail also had two games!! They won their first game and then lost their second one, this was their first lost of the season.

Every night this week after the girls have gone to bed I have curled up with a cup of hot tea and my Kindle.  I finally finished Fifty Shades Darker last night!! I really liked the book and can’t wait to see the movie. I liked the book so much I have already started reading Fifty Shades Freed.

This week I had two must read posts.  On wednesday, I shared a very heartfelt post about how Danny and I keep our marriage strong.  We have been married for 13.5 years.  We all have struggles in our marriages but everyday you must make the choice to put your marriage first.  We told our girls that our relationship will always come first over them and it’s for that reason.  I was blown away by how many of my close friends commented on this post, I loved hearing their words of encouragement.  I also enjoyed reading all of the other ladies post on this topic and I got some great new ideas.

Yesterday  I shared our Valentine’s traditions and plans.  We have some fun things lined up over the next few days.

We started a tradition of journal writing back in 2001. Every February we exchange the journals and this year Danny will be giving them back to me because he has been writing in them for the past year.

We kick off our Valentine’s Day celebrations with a grown up dinner party.  We started this tradition several years ago and I love it!!

Tuesday was the best day of the month, it was Stitch Fix day!! Woohoo!!  I got some great items but sadly I had to send a few items back this month.  There was one item in my box that I have been dying to get and I was so excited when I tried it on!  Here is a sneak peek but I will be sharing all of the details next Tuesday.

  1. I am in love with those Carlos Santana boots. They are super cute!!

You haven’t aged at all! I think you look almost exactly the same as you do in your wedding photo.

My town/school didn’t have daddy-daughter dances but I think they look so fun & cute. Glad they had a good time.

    • Thanks! For some crazy reason our town/area had all of their daddy/daughter dances on the same weekend. It was so fun to see all of the dads dressed up with their little princesses. You should organize one! I am sure it would be a hit. Have a great weekend.

  2. I love those TOMs! I am excited for your StitchFix reveal too. Also, that Father-Daughter dance looks like so much fun. What fun memories for your girls and YAY for a great weekend of basketball and volleyball. The adults only dinner sounds like a lot of fun also. Have a great weekend!

  3. Can I come hang out and raid your closet? We can trade out I’ll motivate you with the exercise and you can let me play dress up! So glad you guys had a great week. And your Valentines activities sound phenomenal! Love the journal idea!!! xoxoxox
