Making Memories

Friday Favorites

Woohoo, so excited that it’s Friday and also a vacation day for me!!   Today I’ll be spending time with the girls at their Field Day.  I love taking this day off every year so that I can spend time with the girls and their friends while they play fun games.  Before I head out the door I wanted to share a few of my favorite moments from this week.

This week has been hair week for all of us.  Monday I was able to squeeze both girls in for a much needed summer haircut.  They both wanted SHORT hair, so I gave in and let them get the haircut they wanted. I almost cried when I saw our stylist cut 8 INCHES off of Abigail’s hair.  However, both girls look so grown up and the cut is super cute!

I also had my haircut appointment and I love my new cut.  And thank you to everyone that commented last week with suggestions on how to curl my hair and get the cute wavy look.  I practiced all weekend and I think I have the style down now. 🙂

This week our school held a Spirit Night (aka school fundraiser) at two local restaurants.   So as soon as softball practice was over we headed there with our softball crew.  Let me just say as soon as we walked in the noise level went up a few decibels!!  I love this crazy crew.

A couple of weeks ago I talked about trying out some different face masks.  The ones I blogged about were the “paper” mask type.  I tried two different types and I absolutely hate the “paper” mask!

So I found this mask at Wal-Mart and I loved it!!

SheaMoisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask with Tamarind Extract & Tea Tree Oil 0.5 oz

My coworker was talking about how great African Black Soap is so I found this collection on Amazon and I plan to order it and add it to my daily routine.

SheaMoisture African Black Soap Facial Care Trio, Includes 4 Once. Problem Skin Facial Mask, 2 Once. Moisturizer, 4 Once. Facial Wash and Scrub and 3.5 Once. Bar Soap

This weekend we are celebrating Danny’s grandparent’s 70th wedding anniversary.  His grandparents are the sweetest people I have ever met.  Their marriage is definitely an example that all young couples should strive for.  Aren’t they the sweetest couple?!?!

I am now off to have some fun with my girls at their field day.  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Live life. Experience love. Be real.
