WE’ve had a very BUSY week and have a lot of End of Year activities going ON, so today I am sharing a quick wrap up of my favorites from this week. I’m counting down the days until school is out (3 days 🙂 ) and praying that our life slows down!
We don’t have school today, but I think everyone in our house is more excited that Danny will be coming home later today!! He has been in Ireland all week and will be home in a few hours. Even though he was there for work, he still had some time to go sightseeing. The pictures he sent me are amazing. I hope to be able to go there one day on vacation.
The first picture is his look of excitement after driving 90 minutes to see something amazing, only for the fog to move in as he was arriving. Couldn’t see anything!
~NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK~
I’ve had May 23rd blocked out on my calendar since November and the big day finally arrived!! I was so excited to go to the Total Package Tour this week. I’m a huge NKOTB fan and add Boyz II Men and Paula Abdul to the line up and it makes for a great concert.
First up was Boyz II Men. They put on a great show but let’s be honest, no one was there for them.
I love Paula Abdul songs, but I was not really impressed with her portion of the concert. She did have some amazing back up dancers.
And finally, the reason we were all there that night – NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!!!
They put on an AMAZING show. They are very interactive with the audience and they sang a good mixture of old and new songs.
~ALL ABOUT KATE~
This week has been all about Kate.
She had her Girl Scout bridging ceremony on Sunday. Next year she will begin her 4th year as a girl scout and will be a Junior. She has a really great troop and has enjoyed doing service projects around the community and building close friendships.
Next we finally wrapped up her spring soccer season with a big team party. They didn’t get the result they wanted from the tournament but they had a great season overall.
Finally, I attended the Third Grade Mother’s Day Tea this week. It was a special time with Kate. She wrote a very sweet poem for me and I enjoyed spending the morning with her.
That’s a wrap for this week. We are now off to enjoy our FOUR day weekend!! I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday.
