Making Memories

Miami – Weekend Getaway

Last Wednesday Danny and I celebrated 14 wonderful years of marriage.  He was working in Miami so I flew out to meet him for the weekend.  I had a huge surprise from Danny when I printed my boarding pass.  Danny had upgraded me to first class.   This was for sure the best anniversary present.

Once I arrived I was also surprised to see him waiting for me at baggage claim because he was supposed to be working and we were planning to meet up at the hotel.

The hotel left us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary.

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner at Prime One Twelve

The next morning we woke up and headed to Havana 1957 for a yummy Cuban breakfast.

After breakfast, we spent the rest of the day on the beach.  I love beach life!!

For dinner, Danny took me to a sushi place that was so good!!!

I got to try seaweed salad for the first time and was actually surprised that I really liked it.

We then enjoyed a nice sunset walk along the  Beach.

That night we were able to watch one of three runway shows for Swim week Miami.

Friday was our last morning that we were able to spend on the beach.  It was crazy that no one was on the beach that morning but we enjoyed the quiet time.

Friday night we went to this amazing rooftop bar – Sugar.

The bar during the day…

Then it was time to head home…

and once again (thanks to all of Danny’s flights) we were upgraded to first class 🙂

We had a relaxing getaway and I can’t wait for our next trip to Miami.

    1. I feel the same way!! It will be so hard the next time I have to fly and have to sit in coach. 🙁

  1. Oh my goodness what a fun getaway! The food….and the views!!! Can you believe I’ve only traveled 1st class one time? That was such a thoughtful gift. Happy Anniversary!!!
