Menu Planning

Thank goodness we are not hosting Thanksgiving but our Christmas plans are still up in the air.  So to prepare for Christmas I have started to pin a few recipes that we can use if we have family at our home to celebrate Christmas.

For Chrismas day we are always home so this year here is my plan for our Christmas meals…

Christmas Card List

I love to mail Christmas cards every year.  We should have our family pictures back by the end of next week and then I’ll be able to order our Christmas cards.  I always try to mail our cards the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Christmas Present List

This is what I’ll look like when I start shopping for Christmas.

I am so jealous of all of those people that start Christmas shopping months before Christmas.  I’d love to be one of those people but I’m a last minute shopper.  This past weekend I made my first Christmas purchase and I plan to start buying more presents over the next few weeks.

The girls have been working on their list the past week. And Abigail’s list blew me away… She wants three very specific presents and then the rest of presents she wants to give to all the kids that are not as fortunate as our family.

Party Planning

We have a lot of parties throughout that month of December and I hope that I will be able to keep my sanity.

I love decorating our house for Christmas.  I hope to start getting all the decorations down next week and start decorating.  I feel like if I can get all decorting done before Thanksgiving then I can just relax and enjoy the holiday season.

These decorations have inspired me to do some new things this year.

The holiday countdown is ticking away at rapid speed. This time of year can definitely get a bit overwhelming, what with holiday parties, shopping, baking, crafting, and all things festive. If you're hosting a holiday meal and want to make your table extra-special for your guests but don't have the time or budget to go all out on an elaborate tablescape, don't fret. Here are 11 simple last-minute holiday centerpiece ideas that will wow your guests.

Christmas Bucket List

This was ourChristmas Bucket List from last year but I’m thinking about using this same list this year. The girls had so much checking items off the list.

  1. Hi stranger! What a good little post to get me in planning mode for our meals and events! I haven’t been very good at that this year! Yesterday I purchased my first two Christmas gifts – it was stressful! LOL I hope you have a FUN time pulling all your shopping, partying, and fun together.

  2. I so need that Christmas dinner recipe!! yum! I would love that for Thanksgiving. I love me some dressing but do not like turkey at all. I have purchased zero gifts and really just am not even feeling it…which is very much NOT like me! Oh..and one of my friends, Tamra, requested you style her. 🙂
