Stitch Fix Review – #14

Hello and welcome to the review of my 14th Fix!  I’ve been receiving Fixes since September 2016 and I’ve really loved my experience.  I know not everyone has a wonderful experience, but it’s always fun to try on new clothes and try new styles.  This month I was really excited about the pieces that I picked.

I’ve had my eye on this sweater all winter.  The Renee C – Jerri Polka Dot Pullover Sweater is considered a “fitted” sweater.  I really like the way it fits my body; however, it’s a little see-through, so you may want to wear a cami underneath it.

Vests are very popular this year.   When I saw this 41 Hawthorn – Shara Herringbone Vest pop up, I knew I had to have it.  It’s kind of fitted, and little more “puffy” than I like, but once I tried it on I was very happy with it.  I’m still searching for cute outfit ideas.

I went back and forth on this 41 Hawthorn – Meela Tie Back Mixed Material Pullover sweater.  I loved the color and the little bow on the back, but I was not a huge fan of the silky material on the back.  The more I wore it, the more I liked it.  I don’t have a lot of pink in my wardrobe, so it’s a great addition to my sweater collection.  Even though this top is a sweater, it’s very lightweight, which is great for Texas.

I’ve been looking for a pair of black booties, so when I saw that these DV8 – Janela Faux Suede Gore Bootie were in my size, I was so excited.  However, once I tried them on, I wasn’t very happy with them.  They weren’t comfortable at all!  Also, since they’re made out of faux suede, every dog hair on our carpet was stuck to the side of the bootie.   I was so sad they didn’t work and I am still searching for the perfect pair of black booties. 🙁

This last top was the one top that I was most excited to receive.  I had very HIGH expectations for this top.  In fact, I had passed on several similar tops that I had seen at a local boutique because I really wanted this Lemon Tart – Kaine Velvet Lace Up Pullover.  So the sweater looks completely different than the picture…

If I would have worn this sweater like the above picture I would not have the long ties, but I would also be flashing everyone!  Not exactly the look I’m going for.

I tried to tuck the ties into the sweater but I didn’t like the way it looked.   I guess I could have cut the ties, but I’m not going to pay $68 for a sweater that I have to alter.  Finally, I was not a huge fan of the light purple color.  FYI Stitch Fix says it is grey – definitely NOT grey!

If you decide to sign up for Stitch Fix (which everyone should at least try it once) just remember you don’t have to LOVE every item.
