Mother’s Day Weekend Recap

I’ve had a pretty amazing weekend full time with  family and friends.

I kicked off my mother’s day weekend with a massage at my favorite day spa. The best way to spend my Friday morning.

After my massage, I headed home so that I could get ready for the girl’s field day. This is probably one of my favorite school events.  Crazy to think we only have two years left of field days!!!

The girls had so much fun with their friends…

After field day I squeezed in some time beside the pool.

Friday night we had dinner with our friends at the club.  And then we ended the night with a swim party.  I’ll say that Friday was a great day!!!

Saturday morning we had an 8am volleyball game!!

And then we headed straight to softball pictures.  Luckily pictures we were just across the street from the volleyball courts.

While Abigail was at her friend’s birthday party…

I headed to the new Hobby Lobby that just opened up in our town to pick up a few things so that I could finish a wreath for a friend.

I love how it turned out.

Then it was time for dinner at my favorite Mexican food restaurant with my favorite people.

Sunday morning the girls woke up ready for a great day.  We got all dressed up for church and headed out for breakfast.  While we were at breakfast both girls started to feel sick so we decided to head back home and skip church. Thankfully I was able to get a picture of us all dressed up. 🙂

We came home and let the girls relax for a little bit, and then headed to downtown Dallas.  We spent the afternoon at Klyde Warren Park.  The weather was perfect.

There were several food trucks lined up so we were able to grab lunch.

And the view was pretty nice.

The girls had fun playing at the park.

I’m so thankful for this wonderful guy.

We ended the weekend with pool time and grilling some yummy food.

We had a jammed packed weekend but looking back I’m so thankful for the two sweet girls that call me mom and all of the fun we’ve had this weekend.   I’m not a perfect mom but I do my best to be a great example for the girls and love them unconditionally.  Now time to get ready for a busy week of State Test  (please say a prayer for both girls today and tomorrow) and field trips.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!
