Friday Favorites

Woohoo it’s Friday!! We got home from our Hawaiian Vacation late Tuesday and I’m still having a hard time getting back into a normal routine.  This is how I feel about our current laundry situation…

I should be finishing up our piles of laundry and packing the girl’s suitcases for cousin camp, but I thought I’d take a few minutes and share a few of my favorites from the past couple of weeks.  Don’t worry I’ll be doing a full recap of Abigail’s Unicorn Birthday Party and our vacation over the next couple of weeks.

Abigail’s Birthday

Abigail invited about 16 girls over to celebrate her 9th birthday.  We had a unicorn themed swim party. I can’t wait to share the amazing cake my friend made.

The crazy group of girls…

Abigail’s Recital

We spent Abigail’s actual birthday watching her and her friends dance.  She loved dance so much this year and is already looking forward to dancing next year.

Now let’s talk about Hawaiian…

We drove the Road to Hana and one of the stops you can make is the Black Sand Beaches.  I’ve always wanted to see black sand beaches and never thought I would have the chance. I was so excited to stand there and feel the sand between my toes. It was an amazing experience.

Also along the Road to Hana, you can stop and see several beautiful waterfalls. We even decided to hike down to one waterfall and swim in the water.

When Danny and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon we had dinner at a restaurant right on the beach called Orchids.  So we made reservations to go back there again this trip. The Orchid is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Honolulu.

Date night

After a week away with the kids Danny and I decided that we needed to have a date night as soon as we got home. So while we were still in Maui I texted our sweet babysitter and asked her to babysit the girls so that we could enjoy a nice adult only dinner.

That is a wrap for this week! Have a great weekend!! 🙂
