Friday Favorites

Every year we always look forward to the First Week of School.  It is the perfect week to get back into our normal routine and time to make a fresh start at school.   We have all had a great week and today I am going to share a few of my favorites from this week.

We have a tradition of asking questions on the first day of school.  I shared all about that on Tuesday.  The two comments that I loved this year were Abigail’s comment about doing good in the spelling bee and Kate’s comment about what she wants to do when she grows up…not only does she want to be a teacher but a teacher with a PhD.  You can check out the rest of the questions here…2018-2019 First Day Of School POST

I have been listening to a lot of music over the past few weeks.

One of my friends sent me this song…

and another friend sent me this song…

I have listened to these two songs over and over and they are so powerful!

Yesterday I shared my One Month Update.  The highlight of the post was a phone call that we received yesterday.   All of my Genetic test results came back NEGATIVE!!! 🙂 That means I don’t have any underlying genetic vascular disorders associated with any major known conditions and all three dissections were spontaneous and most likely happened at the same time.

I will continue to need to relax and take it easy until these dissections have healed. It can take three to six months for healing to complete. Once they’ve healed, I will still have to make some changes, but I’ll not have to live in a bubble.

This was a huge answer to so many prayers.  You can read all about the update HERE

I’ve started to read a lot more since I have a lot of free time nowadays.  I’m so thankful for all of the books my friends and family have sent me.

I am almost done with THIS BOOK!  If you haven’t read this book you need to go pick it up today!!

Finally, another favorite from this week was getting out of the house yesterday to go watch a movie.  I meet up with a few friends to watch Crazy Rich Asians!  So good!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and weekend!!

  1. That looks like a wonderful pile of books! I just stopped by my library to re-stock my selections this morning.. and waiting impatiently for a few I have on hold to come in.
