Making Memories

Self Care

Self-care is so important and it’s definitely the one thing that us moms overlook! When you take care of yourself you have more confidence, feel more positive about your life, and it’s great for your self-esteem.

Self-care is not only important for yourself but for your relationship with your friends and family.

This is how I take care of myself…

Exercising!! – when I workout it is my time to focus on myself and my time to just reflect on life. I also feel better about myself.

Music!! I love to listen to music

Reading…I love to just sit down and read a good book.

Yard work.  I love to get outside and plants flowers and mow.

Massage!! I don’t get to go to the spa as much as I would like but I when I do it is so relaxing!!

Relaxing with a glass of wine

Go to Starbucks

Date nights!! I love spending time alone with Danny.  He is my best friend and he always makes me smile.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. Self-care is definitely a growth edge for me, and I recently read April Yamasaki’s book 4 Gifts which goes into a lot of depth with self care and reasonable thoughts on boundaries in everyday life.
I loved your pile of reading–books are a must for self care!

  2. In July I signed up for a monthly massage…now that they automatically draft my account on the 1st of the month I don’t hesitate to make my monthly appointment. It has definitely been something I look forward to. Thanks for linking with The Blended Blog!

  3. Love. I think as women we do not take time to love ourselves. We spend so much time on others and then deplete our reserves. Its so darn important to be your best and to do that you have to feel your best.
