Making Memories

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!! We’ve had a crazy couple of weeks, but I’m so glad the weekend is finally here. Today I’m linking up with my favorite bloggers to share a few of my favorite pictures from this past week.

Before we jump into this week’s post, I wanted to share the results of my most recent CT Scan…

UPDATE….Many of you know that 3 1/2 months ago I woke up without vision in my right eye. (which has not come back yet). At that time, it was determined that I had three arterial dissections and the doctors were quite concerned, as were we. On Thursday of last week, I finally had my first follow up CT scan to see if things had changed for better or worse, and we finally got the results today. My right carotid artery was the one that was completely blocked, as in no pulse detected. Prior to Thursday, I could actually feel a pulse again! The CT scan confirmed the artery is healing and some flow has returned. Praise God! 🙌 On top of that, the lower left vertebral artery dissection is now completely healed. Finally, the upper left vertebral artery has only slightly improved (very slightly), but bloodflow is manageable at this time. I will go back for another CT Scan in February and by then I pray that everything will be healed completely!  Thank you for all of the prayers and support the past several months. It means the world to me and my family and we are so thankful to each of you. ❤❤❤

Now time for this week’s post…

ONE

I think I’ve lived in Wal-Mart this week! I’ve probably been there at least once a day.  During one of our visits, Kate and I spotted these and we thought we needed to try these. Have you tried them?  They are surprisingly good.

TWO

This week we got to enjoy not one but two yummy Thanksgiving lunches at our girl’s school.

First up was Kate’s lunch. Since Danny would be out of town on Thursday, Abigail joined us for Kate’s lunch. I’m a little sad that this is the last Thanksgiving lunch we’ll have with Kate.

A look back at Kate’s first Thanksgiving lunch (Kindergarten 2013)

Yesterday I went back for Abigail’s lunch.  However, this time we decided to have Chick Fil A instead of the school lunch.

THREE

Yesterday we spent our afternoon having some girl time. First stop was, of course, Starbucks!

Then we stopped at Walmart, of course, to pick up a few Christmas items.

FOUR

We decided to go ahead and start decorating the house for Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday and it makes me so happy! I’m so glad to see the twinkly white lights in the house.

FIVE

We got our family pictures back a few weeks ago and they are amazing.  Here are a few of my favorites.

I love sending out Christmas cards to our friends and family, so I was so excited to finally place our order this week.  I love how Shutterfly lets you upload your picture and see it on every card!  Such a great feature. Once I’ve sent our cards out I’ll share it with everyone.

BONUS

Finally, 16 years ago today this handsome guy got down on one knee and proposed to me on a beautiful bridge in Central Park. We looked like babies 16 years ago!  I love this wonderful man more everyday!  Danny is my best friend and I’m so thankful for our marriage.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!
