What’s Up Wednesday

Happy Hump Day!!  It’s the last Wednesday of the month and that can only mean one thing…it’s time for me to recap our month and link up with  Mel, Shay, and Sheaffer  for What’s Up Wednesday!

What we’re eating this week:

Sunday: Mexican food
Monday: Beef Stew
Tuesday: Taco Night
Wednesday:  School Spirit Night – Chick Fil A
Thursday: Spaghetti and Meatballs
Friday: Christmas Party #1
Saturday: Christmas Party #2

What I’m reminiscing about:

As we get closer to Christmas all I can think about is all of the expensive gifts on the girl’s Christmas list.  Those list make me miss when the girls were little and they were so happy with just toys!  I wish we could go back to their first Christmas!!

Kate’s First Christmas

Abigail’s First Christmas

What I’m loving AND What we’ve been up to:

We attended a fun Christmas Tea at my besties’ house…

This past weekend we decorated our Christmas tree…

Went to the Christmas tree lighting at the Frisco Star…

Enjoyed the Home for The Holidays in Downtown McKinney…

and ended our weekend with a trip to see Santa…

What I’m working on:

Christmas shopping and addressing Christmas cards.

What I’m excited about:

My 40th birthday party! The theme is masquerade and I’ll be decorating our house in gold and black.  I’ve already ordered my dress!!

What I’m watching:

Hallmark movies!!

What I’m wearing:

This week I had to attend a training, so I actually got all dressed up

But normally this is what I have on everyday…workout clothes

However, this week I put together an outfit I saw on Pinterest.  I recently bought some leather pants.  I know really different for me but I wanted to try them!  I loved this casual look on Pinterest…

so I recreated it..

What I’m doing this weekend:

This weekend we have several Christmas parties and we still have to decide which one we will be attending!  We also start winter volleyball and winter basketball.

What I’m looking forward to next month:

Next month I am looking forward to celebrating Kate’s 11th birthday.

  1. The older they get, the more expensive their lists get around here too! Your party is going to be so much fun and I love the theme. Your weekend sounds like a lot of fun. Your outfits are always so cute.I love this time of year. I hope you have a great rest of your week!

    • Thanks!! I actually start subbing next week to have some extra Christmas money! I am so excited for my 40th birthday…even though it is still 3 months away.

  2. I was just saying this week that I miss buying for little kids! Even our nieces and nephews are all at that pre-teen/teen stage and it’s so much harder and expensive to buy for them all… never mind my own kids!
