What’s Up Wednesday – February Edition

It’s the last Wednesday of the month and that can only mean one thing – What’s Up Wednesday! This is one of my favorite link ups because I love sharing the highlights from the past month.

WHAT WE ARE EATING?

Sunday: Oscar night…snack food while we watch the show  Monday: pizza Tuesday: spaghetti  Wednesday: meatball sandwiches  Thursday: breakfast for dinner Friday: School Carnival – Chick Fil A Saturday: date night!!

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:

We kick off our spring sports this weekend.  Abigail will start her 12th soccer season this Saturday.  (Kate starts volleyball next week and both girls started their softball season last week)  In honor of our spring soccer season here is a look back at the past six years of soccer.

WHAT I’M LOVING:

Watching the Oscars with my girlfriends…

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

We have been working on Abigail’s Alamo project…
Selling girl scout cookies…

We went to San Antonio for TMEA…
Celebrated Valentine’s Day…

WHAT I’M DREADING:

I rolled my ankle this past weekend. So now I am stuck in this lovely boot for 2 weeks!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON:

We are talking about what we are going to do for summer vacation.  We definitely want to do a road trip but not sure what part of the country we want to see.  I have looked at doing a trip along the gulf coast seeing all the sites from Texas to DC.  I have also mapped out a route that would take us to Montana.  If we take that trip we would see Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and several other fun spots.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

My 40th Birthday next month!! We have everything finally booked.

WHAT I’M WATCHING:

We are still watching The Bachelor #teamcassie  We have also been sucked into The Masked Singer. I can’t wait until tonight to see who the Peacock is. We think peacock is Neil Patrick Harris and the bee is Gladys Night. However, I can’t decide who the monster is. Are you watching the show? What are your predictions?  And we also started watching the new season of The Voice.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO & READING:

I have finally finished a book!! 🙌🙌 When I was looking at different books on Amazon I came across a book and loved the title. So I thought I would read it. I really like the book but if you don’t like to read books that talk about sex this book is not for you.  I did like the author and plan to read another book by her soon.

WHAT I’M WEARING:

You can check out my post HERE to see what I have been wearing lately. But here are a few of my favorite go to outfits.

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

Danny’s dad and step mom are coming to visit so we will be hanging with them this weekend. Our soccer season also starts this weekend too…go Ravens!!

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:

MY 40TH BIRTHDAY and Spring Break!

WHAT ELSE IS NEW:

I thought it would be fun to do a post where I answer questions from my fellow bloggers or friends who follow my blog. So if you have a question about me feel free to leave it in the comments.

BONUS QUESTION…

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BOARD GAME TO PLAY WITH OUR FAMILY?

We are always on the go but when we have a free night we do love to play games. We are a very competitive family so game night usually ends up with someone crying and someone super excited they just won.
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!!

  1. My kiddos giggle hysterically whenever they have to ‘get babies’ when we play the game of Life! 😂🤣love keeping up with your sweet family!! Happy almost birthday!

  2. We’re heading to Colorado/ Wyoming and South Dakota; we plan to see Mount Rushmore but figured it would be great to see more of the are while we’re flying out there. It was probably the one year we didn’t hem and haw about where to go on our family vacation.

  3. I would definitely recommend visiting Mount Rushmore … My family and I would visit every few years when I was younger when we would drive to/from our condo in Colorado. Have you considered visiting Colorado this summer? Do you guys/have you guys ever been on a ski vacation? Also, what would you say is your ideal vacation? I prefer to go to vacation locations where I can stay in a condo with a kitchen so we can cook from our “room” more often than not! 🙂
Have a great weekend! Good Luck with the ankle!
