My name is Jessica. I am a wife to an amazing husband and a mom to two wonderful little girls. I am an Aggie (gig’em), work full time, soccer mom, basketball mom, PTA board member, church volunteer, school volunteer, and the list goes on and on. We are constantly on the go and love to spend time with our friends and family.
Our whole lives we are told to be unique and stand out, but be yourself and don’t make waves. You’re beautiful just the way you are, but here are things to buy just in case you’re actually not. The world loves women of all shapes and sizes, but America kinda just likes one shape and size. The contradictions of society are enough to make you go crazy at the end of the day, or question yourself at the very least. In the words of a great (not even close) YouTube philosopher, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” Plus, I have two loads of laundry to do, soccer practice to go to, a child upset by someone at school, my daily devotional to do and I’m not really sure if I chose not put a bra on today or just forgot. Either way, ugh.
I started to blog 9 years ago so that our families around the country (and world) could keep up with what we were doing. Fast forward to today and I have decided to create a new blog/website – Life, Love and Reality. I still plan to blog about our life, because writing and wine are like a vacation sometimes, but I also want a place where I can just post about the struggles of being a woman, wife, mom, friend and daughter now a days. I also plan to work with other moms to give them a place to talk freely about their daily life, mom accomplishments and challenges.
If nothing else, perhaps through this site and from all over the world we can experience Life, Love and Reality together.
