Today I am linking up with Jen from The Bolin Bunch for her monthly 10 on the 10th linkup.
One – Danny and I write in a journal for a year and then we exchange it every Valentine’s Day. When Danny gives it to me this year it will be the start of our 17th year of doing this.
Two – When I was in high school, I was apart of the FFA program. I showed pigs and I was also on the Parliamentarian team. I had a lot of fun but I only did this for one year. My mom kept my FFA jacket for me too.
Three – While I was in high school I was also an Athletic Trainer for three years. I made so many friends and had a blast being a trainer for all the sports at our school. I loved it so much that I thought about being a trainer at Texas A&M, but it was really hard to get into that program.
Four – I may be a city girl now but I’m a country girl at heart. I am from a long line of ranching families. I grew up “working” (aka branding) cattle, riding horses, and playing in the country. I loved these experiences and I am so glad that I can continue these activities with our daughters.
Five – I have a tattoo. Four years ago Danny decided that he was going to get a tattoo and I got a wild hair and got one too. Of course, mine is nothing compared to Danny’s…
Six – I am a member of the Fightin Texas Aggie Class of 2001. My grandfather and 5 other family members all graduated from Texas A&M so of course, I had to be an Aggie too. I loved my college career! I made so many friends, went to a lot of great Aggie football, and of course met my husband.
I lived with my cousin for 3 years – lots of memories made. Overalls haunt my life apparently.
Also made some great friends.
I finally graduated after changing my major 3 times.
Seven – I am a wife to an amazing man. Danny is my best friend. I am so glad I meet him on March 4, 2000. We have a very unique story because we meet in a tattoo parlor! He is so caring and always makes me smile. He is also very creative and loves to surprise me. He surprised me with a trip to New York City in 2002. He had planned the whole trip out from the flight to all the activities in NYC. While we were there, we walked to a beautiful bridge in Central Park and he proposed to me! He is definitely one of the most romantic guys I know.
Eight – I love to travel! Danny and I love to get away as much as possible. We try to take a trip once a year for just us to get away and some time together.
Nine – For the past few years, a close friend and I have coached our daughter’s basketball team. I have enjoyed getting to work with the girls each week and see them improve so much by the end of the season.
Ten – I have always tried to be healthy but for the past few years, I have not done a great job in this department. Maybe I just wasn’t doing it right. As my girls get older I realize that I need to model more healthy eating and fitness habits. So I when I workout, whether it is outdoor running or an at home workout, I try to involve my girls.
Bonus – My friends are also a huge part of my life. As a woman, it is so hard to make really meaningful and trusting relationships. Let’s face it, even though we are all grown adults there is still that group of “high school mean girls” and in my opinion, they are more hateful at my age. I have one lifelong friend that I can always count on, but I have always struggled to find other genuine friends. However, over the past couple of years God has placed women in my life that are amazing! I can count on these women for anything. They are very trustworthy and enjoy doing life with them and their families.
Julie is my lifelong friend. We have been friends since we were 3 years old. We may only talk 2 or 3 times a month and we only see each other once or twice a year but I know that I can always count on her.
and I love these ladies so much!!
Thanks for stopping by today! You can check my other 10 on the 10th post HERE.
Have a great Thursday!
