So excited that we have finally made it to Friday.  I am ready for a nice and relaxing Mother’s Day weekend with my family.   Today I am sharing a few of my favorites from this week.  I hope you enjoy them 🙂

Mother’s Day Ideas…

I love Mother’s Day Weekend!!  I always look forward to just spending some quality time with Danny and the girls.  Tuesday I linked up with The Queen in Between and posted about my favorite Mother’s Day present.  I can’t wait to see what Danny and the girls get me this year.  I am sure he has already purchased my present (because is he is a great husband) but here are a few things that I have on my wishlist…

1.Perfume   2. Kendra Scott Necklace   3. Cute Purse   4. Kate Spade Earrings

However since we have been married for almost 13 years a few of our appliances are on their last leg so for practical purposes I would like one of these two items…

Favorite Quote…

One of my friends posted this quote earlier this week from Lysa TerKeurst and it went perfectly with my post from yesterday about Genuine Friendship and Mean Girls.  I have wanted to share that post for almost a year but I had struggled with what exactly I wanted to say and how people would respond.  However, after seeing everyone’s responses yesterday I am so glad I finished the post.  So please go check it out, it is definitely a must read.

Some of my favorite moments from this week…

Danny had work conference in downtown Dallas so the girls and I got to cruise around in the Jeep.  We I thought we were so cool.  🙂

 Craft time…

I have decided to jump on the Chalk Paint bandwagon.  I have read several blog post about painting with chalk paint and so I decided to just bite the bullet and start painting our entry table. (Liz @J for Joiner and Emily @ Simply A Rough Draft – thank you girls for the inspiration).  I have only done one coat but, fingers crossed, I can finish the project this weekend. Once I am finished, I will do a post with before and after pictures.  Hopefully the after picture will not be me throwing the entry table in the dump because I ruined it!!!

What we have going on this weekend…

Tonight Danny and I finally get to go on a much needed date night!!!  It has been almost 2 months since Danny and I had a dinner without our kids.  Don’t get me wrong, I love our girls, but it so important to have some alone time with just Danny.  I use the term “alone” loosely, because we are joining three other couples and having a nice dinner at Rick’s Chophouse in Downtown McKinney.

We will be playing our last two soccer games of the season tomorrow.  I love watching the girls, but I am so ready to have nothing to do on Saturdays.

Other than our date night and soccer games, my weekend will be all about these girls…because they are the reason I am a mom.

Cruise Day 1 and 2

Day 1 –
After waking up at 4:00 am and running to our gate because we almost missed our flight we finally boarded our ship around 1:00 pm!
We quickly changed into our swimsuits and headed to the sundeck.
Champagne toast to celebrate our girl’s trip.
That is Curtis Stone walking away from the stairs!! He has a restaurant on the ship but we decided to not to eat there because it was $50 a person!!!
This is one of four pools that is on the ship.
Beautiful sunset over Miami.
Ready for our first dinner on the ship.
Day 2 –
I started my morning with a walk around the ship with Lara.  I was so relaxing!
And then we spent the rest of day soaking in the sun!
The captain of the ship talked to everyone that night before dinner.
I had to share this picture of our margaritas – they were huge!!!

Spring Break 2016

Even though it rained for half of Spring Break we still had some fun.
We started off our week with a play date with Abigail’s BFF.
Then it was Soccer Saturday.
The weather was beautiful on Saturday so we got a kick swim in after soccer.
Then is was time to take Kate for a much needed hair cut.
She has very thick hair so she needed a lot of layers!
Sunday was spent with friends.
Of course we needed to make a stop at the library.
The girls were so excited to go and see Zootopia.  It was such a cute movie.
Finally we ended our family time together with playing games
because the next day I was off for my girl’s cruise.
Here are the links to my cruise…

Birthday Weekend Recap

This past weekend was my Birthday weekend – we have those right?!
Luckily I have some amazing coworkers and they made me a yummy homemade Strawberry Cake!
When I got home we did some Easter crafts…
The next morning we started my offical birthday off with breakfast at my favorite breakfast place – Snug on the Square.  After that we were off to soccer.
Abigail’s team was up first.  It was so cold and windy!!!
Abigail scored 3 goals!!!  She loves soccer!
Then we quickly headed over to Kate’s game.
Kate’s team did not win this week but they had a great game.
After a busy day of soccer and friend’s birthday parties we came home and got ready for my birthday dinner.
We had a great time eating dinner at Gloria’s with some of our closet friends.
Sunday afternoon after church we joined Abigail’s girl scout troop at a local roller skate rink.
This was the first time we have ever taken the girls skating and it was definitely an adventure.
Abigail’s face is priceless!!
The girls had so much fun and I think that we will try to go back soon!
I had a great time this weekend spending time with my sweet family and our friends.

Life Lately on Instagram

Here is a look back at our life on Instagram…

Finally Muffins with Mom!!

Super Hero Dance – 1000th POST!!!!

This year at the girl’s school the theme has been “Super Hero” so it was perfect that their school dance would be designed around the same theme.  They also tied a fundraising opportunity into the school dance for a little boy that is a fellow student.  Our school has been raising money all year for this child that was diagnosed with Ataxia-Telangiectasia, or A-T.  I really love how the school is so supportive!!
Our little super heroes…
The girls had so much fun will all of their friends…
There was a lot of fun had by all the kids and parents too!
The girls dragged my out onto the dance floor and when I came back over to the “parent section”  I thought this was a great picture of the dads just hanging out.
We couldn’t hear a thing after we left the dance but had a lot of fun.

Weekend Recap

Abigail had another great basketball game.  They played the first team they played earlier this season.  It was great to see how much they all have improved this season.
Then it was time for Kate’s cheer game.
We had all 16 girls this week and it was fun like every week!
After practice we headed home quickly because Kate had her first soccer practice of the season.  Kate was so excited because 2 of her friends from school have come back to the team.  We are looking forward to another great soccer season.
We ended the weekend with a small Super Bowl Party.  This is the only picture I got from the night but there was a lot of yummy food and 7 crazy kids running around the house.

Our Weekend

We started our weekend off with Kate’s yearly exam.
This girl has grown 2 inches in a year.  That definitely explains all the aches and pains she has had this year.
After the doctor’s appointment we rushed home and get ready for Kate’s cheer game.
Here is our squad – 16 girls!!!
and of course we needed a crazy picture.
Then Saturday morning we woke up early and headed out for Abigail’s basketball game.
Then time to get their “stars” for the game.
Love these girls…
Lady Aggies!!!
That afternoon the girls and I went for a run/walk through the neighborhood.
The weather was beautiful on Sunday so we ended our weekend with a quick basketball game at the school court.
always fun to play with school friends…
